Gemma Collins has quickly made a memorable return to the I’m A Celebrity All Stars jungle, but not without her fair share of complaints. The reality TV star, famed for her diva persona, has already begun to struggle with the harsh conditions in the South African camp.
In Wednesday’s episode, after losing a tough eating trial to actor Craig Charles, Gemma found herself in the basic Savannah Scrub, a camp known for its minimal amenities. Not impressed by her accommodation, she expressed her frustrations to fellow campmate Adam Thomas, saying, “Do you think this is acceptable? This ain’t right. I ain’t showering. This is so bad. Someone call my agent if they’re listening because this is not acceptable.”
Her complaints didn’t end there. Gemma, 45, vented about her uncomfortable bed, saying, “What have I done in my life to deserve this? It is just rancid. The beds… I’m gonna need back surgery after one night sleep.” She added, “It is just hell, basically. That’s not right. I feel like I’m in a torture camp.”
As if the conditions weren’t tough enough, Gemma also admitted to feeling as though she was “losing her eyesight” and was irritated by comedian Seann Walsh’s snoring. But despite her dramatic complaints, fans couldn’t get enough of her antics, praising her for living up to their expectations of TV gold.
However, not everyone was happy with how the episode played out. Fans on social media accused ITV of ruining the suspense of the trial by revealing Gemma’s fate in the opening teaser, showing her in the losing camp before the actual trial result was revealed. Viewers vented their frustrations, saying the cliffhanger was spoiled.
Despite the tough start, it’s clear Gemma is ready to face the challenges ahead—though she may not be happy about it.
I’m A Celebrity All Stars continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV1.
