In a fiery radio interview, I’m A Celebrity star Craig Charles has spoken out against the bullying allegations surrounding the live final, accusing campmates Jimmy Bullard and David Haye of unfairly ganging up on Adam Thomas.
Craig, who has a long-standing friendship with Adam, made his comments during his The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC radio. He expressed outrage at how Adam was treated during the show’s chaotic final, particularly after his emotional apology to Jimmy Bullard. According to Craig, Adam had already publicly acknowledged his mistakes, but was still unfairly targeted.
Speaking candidly, Craig stated, “What happened to Adam last night, our new jungle legend, was bang out of order, that was bullying, it was wrong. I’ve never seen anyone so unhappy to win anything. My heart goes out to him.” He emphasized that Adam’s apology should have been enough, and instead, he was subjected to further attacks by Jimmy and David, which he called “unfair.”
Craig also expressed his admiration for Adam, telling him to keep his head held high and to rise above the negativity. “You’re a jungle legend, life moves on,” he said, adding a personal touch by referencing his deep connection with Adam’s family, including his late father.
The tension between Adam and Jimmy had already been brewing during the I’m A Celeb series, with Jimmy accusing Adam of being “abusive, aggressive, and intimidating” during the final. Jimmy’s actions stirred up further controversy, as he repeatedly called out Adam, trying to garner support from campmates for his stance.
Sinitta, another campmate, stood by Jimmy’s side, reinforcing the idea that Adam’s behavior had been “aggressive and abusive,” while hosts Ant and Dec disagreed, defending Adam’s actions. Ant clarified that some of the language used was “unbroadcastable,” and firmly rejected the idea that Adam had acted in an intimidating way.
As the situation escalates, sources have revealed that ITV is bracing for potential legal action, with Jimmy Bullard reportedly planning to use the final moments of the show as evidence in a lawsuit against the network. He believes that the editing of the series protected Adam and failed to fairly represent his version of events.
This drama continues to divide the I’m A Celeb cast, with many viewers and stars taking sides in the ongoing fallout from the explosive live finale.
