Coronation Street actor Calum Lill has announced he has become a father for the first time, sharing sweet photos of his newborn daughter, Primrose. The star, who played the villainous Joel Deering on the ITV soap, revealed the happy news on Instagram alongside his fiancée, Roberta McClaron.
Calum posted a series of adorable snaps showing Primrose sitting on his lap, lying in bed with him, and moments of Roberta gazing lovingly at their little girl. “Welcome to the world, Primrose Lill. Here’s her first month in pictures. We’re very tired but happier than ever. Thank you to our family and friends for all your support. And to our beautiful baby girl, you’re perfect,” he wrote.
Fans and co-stars quickly congratulated the couple. Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, wrote: “Congratulations to both of you!!” while screenwriter Russell T Davies added: “Ahh, congratulations!”
Calum and Roberta, together since 2021 and engaged last year, first shared their pregnancy news in December 2025 with a festive Instagram snap showing Roberta’s bump painted like a snowman holding a scan photo. Calum joked at the time: “About time I made an honest woman of her.”
Calum made his Coronation Street debut in 2023, joining from Hollyoaks as the dark and manipulative Joel Deering. His storyline, which saw him attempting to harm Lauren Bolton and her baby, shocked viewers. The character was ultimately killed off in a dramatic whodunnit, with Lauren defending herself.
Now, off-screen, Calum is enjoying a new chapter as a proud dad, sharing tender family moments online and celebrating the arrival of little Primrose.
