Brittany Mahomes is already looking ahead to her children’s education, and it seems she has some big plans in mind. The Kansas City Current co-owner recently shared her thoughts on schooling for her two little ones, daughter Sterling Skye, 2½, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 8 months. In a recent Instagram Q&A, after getting her kids settled for the night, Brittany revealed that she is “leaning toward homeschool” for both of them.
Homeschooling as a Future Option
In response to a fan’s question about her children’s schooling, Brittany made it clear that she’s considering homeschooling as the best option for her growing family. This decision comes with a deep commitment to being actively involved in her children’s education while balancing the demands of their busy lives.
Brittany and her husband, NFL star Patrick Mahomes, have both expressed their desire to give their children a solid foundation that fosters their growth—whatever that may look like in the future. Brittany’s openness about homeschooling shows her hands-on approach to parenting, as she continues to prioritize her children’s well-being and learning journey.
Family and Athletics: The Mahomes Way
While Brittany is considering homeschooling, the Mahomes family has also discussed the possibility of their children following in their athletic footsteps. Patrick Mahomes shared that their daughter Sterling has already shown a natural affinity for sports, particularly soccer.
“We never taught her how to play soccer. She watched it from going to the Kansas City Current games with Brittany,” Patrick said. “Then we got home and all of a sudden, she was kicking the soccer ball around.”
Patrick expressed excitement over their kids’ natural athleticism, noting that the most important thing for him and Brittany is to support their children in whatever they choose to pursue—whether that’s sports or something else entirely.
Supporting Their Dreams
Patrick also opened up about his hopes for their children’s futures, emphasizing that he wants them to see the value of hard work and perseverance, especially in achieving their dreams. “I don’t know what my kids’ dreams are going to be, but I want them to work hard at it and try to achieve those,” he shared.
Though Sterling and Bronze are still young, Patrick believes they will grow to understand the importance of hard work and determination as they get older. “When they see this as they get older, I want them to know that they can go out there and chase their dreams and still have a great family at home.”
A Balanced Family Life
With both Patrick’s demanding NFL career and Brittany’s involvement in sports and business, the couple is doing their best to maintain a strong family unit. Brittany and Patrick’s focus on creating a balanced family life, where their children’s dreams are nurtured alongside their family values, is at the heart of their parenting philosophy.
As Brittany navigates the early stages of her children’s lives, her decision to consider homeschooling adds another layer of intentionality to her role as a mother. Whether it’s supporting their budding athletic abilities or encouraging them to follow their dreams, the Mahomes family continues to foster a loving and supportive environment for their kids to thrive.
