Amy Childs Reveals Secret Family Tragedy as Her Cousin’s Five-Month-Old Baby Daughter Is Diagnosed with a Rare and Aggressive Brain Tumour 💔

Amy Childs, the beloved TOWIE star, has shared a deeply heartbreaking family crisis on her Instagram, revealing that her cousin’s five-month-old daughter, Lila, has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumour. The devastating news has rocked her family, and Amy is now calling for support from her one million followers to help her cousin’s fundraising efforts for the brave little girl.

A Heartbreaking Diagnosis 🧠💔

Lila was diagnosed with AT/RT (Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumour) when she was just three weeks old. AT/RT is an extremely rare, fast-growing, and highly aggressive tumour that primarily affects young children, particularly those aged three and younger. Despite undergoing a nine-hour brain surgery and starting chemotherapy when she was only five weeks old, Lila’s tumour has unfortunately returned after six rounds of treatment.

Amy shared a screengrab of her cousin Hannah Brincat’s JustGiving page, asking her followers to donate or even just share the page to spread the word. In her heartfelt post, she wrote, “Please, if you can, help support my cousin’s beautiful daughter Lila. She’s fighting so hard, and every donation makes a difference. Even sharing this means a lot. Thank you all so much.” 🙏

A Brave Little Warrior 🌸💪

Lila’s mother, Hannah, wrote an emotional update on the JustGiving page, describing her daughter’s incredible resilience in the face of such overwhelming challenges. “Our beautiful little Lila is only 5 months old and has been through more in her little life than any adult we know,” Hannah said. “Our brave girl, our little lion cub.”

Despite undergoing extensive medical treatments, including a nine-hour surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy, Lila’s tumour showed signs of returning after the chemotherapy treatments. “Lila is the strongest baby girl, already defied all the odds, she has done everything that has been asked of her.. but unfortunately after 6 rounds of chemotherapy, an MRI showed the tumour has returned,” Hannah explained.

The family was devastated when doctors informed them that no further treatment options were available. They have spent four months living in the hospital, separated from their other children, and recently moved to a children’s hospice. Hannah described the impact of this situation as “devastating” and explained, “Our lives have been turned upside down.” 😢

Desperate for Hope ⏳💔

In a final attempt to find hope, the family has reached out to an oncologist in Toronto, Canada, who is leading research into AT/RT. They are waiting for a second opinion but are uncertain about what treatment options, if any, are available and what the potential costs could be. “The target is therefore completely random – but if by some miracle, they come through with something for us to try and it comes down to finances, we need to be prepared. Time is not on our side,” Hannah wrote.

The JustGiving fundraising page has raised £24,350 out of its £25,000 goal as of publication. The money raised will go toward any potential treatment options. If the family’s efforts do not result in further treatment, the donations will be donated to the charities that have supported them during this heartbreaking journey. 💖

How You Can Help 🙏

Amy Childs has urged her followers to donate to Lila’s fundraiser if they can, or simply share the page to help spread the word. The family needs all the support they can get as they fight for Lila’s life. As Amy said, “Please, if you can, help support my cousin’s beautiful daughter Lila. She’s fighting so hard, and every donation makes a difference.”
