Alex Reid Shares Heartfelt Tribute to His Late Mother, Carol, After Her Passing
Alex Reid, the former Celebrity Big Brother star, has shared a deeply emotional tribute to his mother, Carol, following her passing. The 50-year-old took to Instagram to remember the woman he called “the greatest in my life,” revealing the heartache of losing her after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Carol, who had been living in a care home for several years, passed away recently, leaving Alex devastated. He spoke candidly about the pain of not being present at the moment of her passing but found comfort in knowing that he had been able to say goodbye.

“I’m heartbroken, but comforted knowing you’re now at peace and no longer in pain,” Alex wrote. “I didn’t make it in time, but I was there holding you, kissing you, and telling you I love you so much.”
The tribute was accompanied by a series of photos, showcasing some of the precious moments Alex shared with his mother, including one where Carol is smiling in a striped sweater, a clear symbol of the warmth and love she gave throughout her life.
Alex also shared his personal experience with the difficult decision of placing Carol in a care home due to her Alzheimer’s diagnosis. “It’s worse than losing someone because they’re still here but so lost,” he had previously shared. Despite the pain, he expressed gratitude for the moments of clarity his mother had, particularly when she was able to say “I love you” to him just before her passing.

Fans and followers have flooded his social media with messages of sympathy, with many praising Alex for his unwavering love and dedication to his mother. “You were always there for her, and she knew that,” one follower wrote. “Your love for each other is clear in every picture.”
Alex, who now has twin sons, Phoenix Bobby and Hunter George, with fiancée Nikki, continues to honor Carol’s memory as he navigates this difficult time, holding on to the cherished moments they shared.
