Kylie Kelce Reveals the New Name of Her Family’s Puppy and Shares Which Daughter ‘Couldn’t Care Less’ About the Pet

Kylie Kelce recently gave fans an update on her family’s newest addition – a German Shepherd puppy – during the April 2 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. Following her initial reveal on the March 31 FAFO special, where she introduced the puppy and named her Bernadette, Kylie disclosed that her husband, Jason Kelce, had already changed the dog’s name.

“Her name is Matilda,” Kylie shared on the podcast, adding with some uncertainty, “We think.”

While the name change wasn’t a complete surprise, Kylie went on to share some of the other names Jason had suggested before finally settling on Matilda. Among the more unique suggestions was “Broomhilda,” which Kylie quickly vetoed. “Broomhilda was a serious contender,” she said, before humorously adding, “And I’m not saying that to be funny. Jason deadass thought we were going to name a dog Broomhilda.”

Kylie joked, “I want people to remember that the next time they come at me about how we named our four children, because do you see what I’m working with?”

Family Reactions to the New Puppy

As the Kelces adjust to life with their new pet, Kylie also shared how her daughters are reacting to the new addition. While Bennett, 3, and Elliotte, 5, were thrilled about the puppy joining the family, their older sister, Wyatt, 6, was less enthusiastic. “Wyatt couldn’t care less,” Kylie revealed. “And Finny has no f—ing clue what’s happening,” she added, referencing their youngest daughter, who is just one year old.

A Cat Debate and Future Plans

In addition to the excitement around the new puppy, Kylie also shared an update on her ongoing “cat saga.” Despite Jason’s clear dislike of cats, Kylie has been advocating for the family to adopt one. “If it’s up to me, never,” Jason joked in a previous Not Gonna Lie episode when asked about adopting a cat.

However, Kylie remains hopeful. “There is a compromise that we have found our way to, which is… maybe in the next couple of years,” she said. Jason, for his part, suggested a potential “outdoor cat” or an “indoor-outdoor” cat. “It’s a work in progress, guys,” Kylie laughed. “Imma keep chipping away at it. OK?”

At the end of the latest FAFO episode, Kylie reiterated her goal of adding a cat to the family, sharing, “When I am ready for that, I’m gonna march my ass right back to the PSPCA and I’m gonna find me a cat that wants to come home and live at the Kelce household.”
