BGT Fans Express Boredom Over Repetitive Acts as Celtic Beat Dance Troupe Gets Through
The latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) kicked off with excitement, but fans were quickly left feeling underwhelmed, with many complaining about déjà vu moments that didn’t hit the mark. As Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and KSI took their places in the judging chairs, the first act of the night was a children’s dance troupe, Celtic Beat, who rushed onto the stage with eager excitement.
The group, mainly made up of young children, performed an energetic dance routine with flips, tricks, and plenty of enthusiasm, all set to a lively backing track. The crowd seemed to love it, and the judges were on board too, with Simon giving the troupe their fourth and final “yes,” sending them backstage in a flurry of joy.
However, viewers at home weren’t as impressed. Many took to social media to voice their frustration, accusing the show of recycling the same type of performance again and again. “How many more times? We’ve seen all this b*****s many times before ffs!” one viewer posted on X, while another added, “Had more than enough of kids doing exactly the same as every other Saturday morning dance school.” A third viewer expressed their fatigue with the show, writing, “Give kids their own show. Yaawwwwnnn.”
Despite the warm reception from the judges and audience, the act left many viewers feeling like they were watching a repeat of previous seasons, with little new or innovative content to keep them engaged.
This latest wave of complaints comes after BGT secured a massive £120 million deal with ITV, keeping the show on the air until 2028, as well as plans for a Champions Special to bring the best global BGT acts together. However, despite strong streaming numbers, Britain’s Got Talent has faced increasing criticism for repeating formulaic acts, with the public hoping for more variety in future episodes.
