Katie Piper’s Acid Attacker Daniel Lynch Denied Parole After Life Sentence for Ordering Attack

Katie Piper’s vile ex-boyfriend, Daniel Lynch, has lost his bid for freedom after the Parole Board determined he is “not ready” for release from prison. Lynch, who orchestrated the horrific acid attack on Katie in 2008, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 16 years in 2009.Mugshot of Daniel Lynch, who was jailed for life after raping his ex-girlfriend and arranging for acid to be thrown in her face.

Lynch had given the sickening order for Stefan Sylvestre to throw sulphuric acid in Katie’s face, which he did at point-blank range in Golders Green, North London. At the time, Katie was just 24 years old and was left with life-changing injuries to her face and eyesight. The attack followed a brutal ordeal where Lynch had raped and stabbed her days earlier.

Lynch, who was found guilty of rape, grievous bodily harm, and admitted to actual bodily harm, has been in prison since the attack. Recently, a three-day hearing took place to assess his suitability for parole after serving 16 years. However, the Parole Board concluded that Lynch does not yet have the necessary emotional control and skills to manage relationships safely.BBC Music Awards 2016 - London

In a statement, the Parole Board outlined that Lynch “does not yet have the necessary controls to manage his emotions and direct his thinking skills in relationships,” and therefore, releasing him would not be safe for the public. It was decided that he would remain in prison, with eligibility for another parole review in the future.

Meanwhile, Sylvestre, who threw the acid, was sentenced to life with a minimum of six years, but he was released on license in 2018. Reports indicate that he has absconded and is now living outside of the country."The Roses" UK Premiere - Arrivals
