Megan McKenna, the former TOWIE star, has opened up about her hopes for expanding her family with husband Oliver Burke, revealing that she’s convinced their second child will be another boy. The 33-year-old, who is already mother to 18-month-old Landon, shared her thoughts during an appearance at the Ideal Home Show in London.
“I feel like I’m destined to be a boy mum. I think I’ll have another boy,” Megan said with a smile. “Landon just loves playing with the ball, and obviously his dad loves football, so this is my life now.” Megan joked that, should the couple have another child, she would find herself spending even more weekends on the sidelines of football matches.
The couple, who married in 2025, welcomed their first child after Megan became pregnant through IVF. The family divides their time between London and Berlin, as Oliver signed with Union Berlin in 2025. Megan expressed her enthusiasm for being involved in her son’s football life, hinting that football has become a significant part of their world.
Her candid remarks came alongside her sharing her daily life as a new mother, which includes navigating her personal struggles with a wheat allergy and celiac disease. Megan’s growing following on social media has allowed her to connect with fans who appreciate her honest approach to motherhood.
But it’s not always been smooth sailing. Megan was recently forced to defend herself against a mum-shamer on Instagram after a comment questioned why her son hadn’t yet started crawling at 11 months old. The comment was later deleted, but not before Megan addressed it publicly, stressing that crawling milestones vary and that Landon was progressing just fine. “Crawling can be from seven months to 13 months, some babies don’t even crawl, they just go straight to walking,” Megan clarified in an Instagram story.
Despite the occasional criticism, Megan has received widespread support from her followers, many of whom applauded her for standing up to online trolls and shaming. “Landon is perfect, and so are you as a mother,” one fan wrote in support.
As for her future family plans, Megan’s hopes for a second child are filled with optimism. “It would be wonderful to have another baby, and I’m convinced it will be another boy. It’s just what I feel!” she shared.
The couple’s journey to growing their family is something fans are eagerly following, and Megan’s candid sharing of her motherhood journey continues to inspire others. Whether it’s sharing moments of joy or tackling challenges head-on, Megan proves that being a mum is always an evolving experience—one that she embraces wholeheartedly.
As Megan dreams of adding another boy to the family, one thing is certain: she’s ready for more football weekends, and more fun family moments with Oliver and their son Landon!
