Kerry Katona has bravely opened up about the painful loss of two pregnancies with her boyfriend Paolo Margaglione, sharing her heartbreak in a recent podcast appearance. 😢
The 45-year-old Atomic Kitten star, who has been in a relationship with Paolo since they met on Celebs Go Dating last year, revealed the emotional toll of her miscarriages in an intimate conversation on Paul C Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast.
“I Didn’t Realise How Much I Wanted It”
Kerry, who went public with her relationship with 33-year-old Paolo in June 2025, admitted that she had no idea how deeply she longed for a child with Paolo until the devastating losses. “I didn’t realise how much I wanted it,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.
The couple had first discovered that Kerry was pregnant during the filming of the Celebs Go Dating finale, with Paolo recalling how he could sense something was different about Kerry. “I could smell it on her,” he said. “I said, ‘You’re pregnant.’” 🍂
Kerry, who had experienced hormonal changes and spots, took a test that night, which came back negative. But later, after waking up early to meditate, she took another test, and to her shock, it showed a positive result. “I ran and woke him up,” Kerry said. “Seven years, I never fell pregnant.”
The Heartbreaking Losses.
Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived, as Kerry miscarried shortly after the discovery. “The thought of having an abortion killed me,” she admitted. “It felt like it was made from love…” But her heartbreak deepened as she revealed that she suffered another miscarriage shortly after. “I miscarried again, only at four weeks,” she said softly, her voice breaking.
The pain of the losses was overwhelming for the singer, who shared that it was only in hindsight that she fully realized how much she had wanted to have a baby with Paolo. “I didn’t realise how much I wanted it then,” she confessed.
A Heartbreaking Journey
This isn’t the first time Kerry has faced the devastation of miscarriage. In 2022, she opened up about a miscarriage she suffered in 2015, a loss that came after a brief fling following the death of her ex-husband, George Kay. In her memoir Kerry Katona: Whole Again, Kerry shared how she had fallen pregnant just weeks into her new romance, only to tragically lose the pregnancy. She had to undergo an operation to remove the fetus from her womb.
Despite these heartbreaking losses, Kerry remains a loving mother to five children: Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, from her marriage to Brian McFadden; Heidi, 18, and Max, 17, from her relationship with Mark Croft; and Dylan-Jorge, 10, from her marriage to George. 👩👧👦
