Scarlett Moffatt Opens Up About Tensions in ‘I’m A Celebrity All Stars’: ‘Lad Banter’ Fuelled Rifts in the Camp

Scarlett Moffatt, beloved for her easy-going nature and infectious sense of humor, is no stranger to the I’m A Celebrity spotlight. But her return to the jungle for the upcoming All Stars series has been anything but harmonious, as the star reveals tensions and “non-consensual ‘lad banter’” that caused friction among the campmates.

The 35-year-old Gogglebox star shocked viewers when she opened up about her experiences on the show, describing the atmosphere of the camp as much more challenging this time around. “It wasn’t as harmonious as the first time I went in,” Scarlett confessed. “We were all such big characters this time, and I think a lot of it is this thing with – and I’m going to put it in quotes here – like ‘lad banter,’ but banter is only banter if it’s with consenting adults. If everyone participating wants to participate in the banter.”

The Strain of ‘Non-Consensual Banter’

Scarlett went on to explain that the so-called “banter” often crossed boundaries, with some campmates feeling forced to participate when they weren’t comfortable doing so. “I think sometimes some people didn’t want to be involved but were, even though they didn’t want to be,” she added, hinting at the underlying tension that made the atmosphere less than friendly.

The Waterloo Road actor, 36, ¿totally lost it¿

As the show prepares to air its first episode on Monday, the brewing tensions within the camp are already making headlines. Adam Thomas, the Waterloo Road actor, and Jimmy Bullard, the former footballer, were reportedly at the center of a heated altercation, which shocked the other campmates.

Jimmy did not attend the launch day for the series

In one of the show’s Bushtucker Trials, Adam was said to have “totally lost it” at Jimmy, and the fallout continued back in the camp, causing ripples of discomfort among the group. “It was completely different compared to the last series I did,” Adam admitted in a candid interview. “It was so much tougher… I feel like I had my moments in there, like we all did. But I’m glad that I did it.”

Fractures Beyond the Feud

The tension didn’t stop there. David Haye, the former boxer, was revealed to be the admin of a WhatsApp group titled “I’m A Celeb Legends 2026.” However, Sir Mo Farah was notably absent from the group, leading to further fractures in the camp. Mo, 43, expressed his surprise at being excluded, while Ashley Roberts, 44, added, “Mo’s not in the WhatsApp group, and we’re trying to figure out how that happened.”

Despite the drama, the stars are pushing through the tension, but it’s clear the atmosphere in the jungle is far from smooth sailing this time around.

A Spoiler Slip: Who’s In the Final?

In another twist, Scarlett’s recent appearance on This Morning left viewers stunned when she accidentally dropped a major spoiler about the All Stars finale. When asked who she thought would win, Scarlett first joked, “Is it big-headed if I say me?” But she quickly added, “To be honest with you, I hope Harry Redknapp wins. He’s just so wonderful.”

She also gave a special mention to Sir Mo Farah, sharing how his leadership helped keep the group together. “We’d still be trying to get the fire lit if it wasn’t for Sir Mo. He just looked after us all,” she said warmly.

Although Scarlett seemed to hint at who might win, an ITV spokesperson clarified that the Gogglebox star was simply speaking about the campmates’ contributions to the group’s day-to-day life. “She chose those two because, as she said on air, they were good at camp duties, especially the cooking,” the spokesperson explained.
