Lorna Luxe Considers Motherhood After Husband John’s Heartbreaking Passing
Lorna Luxe, the 43-year-old influencer known for her chic fashion and travel content on Instagram, has revealed that she’s now contemplating having children after the tragic loss of her husband, John, who passed away in February at the age of 64 following a long battle with cancer.
In her first interview since his death, Lorna, whose real name is Lorna Andrews, spoke candidly about her life with John and their decision not to have children. She shared how they had initially tried to start a family when they first got married, but after no success, they chose to focus on their careers.
Reflecting on the past, Lorna revealed, “Over the past couple of years, I’d say, ‘Do you think we should have done something about that? Shall we go and get me checked out?’ But then John got ill… I don’t dwell on what might have been, but just recently, I was asking the guy who does my Botox if I should freeze my eggs.”
She admitted, “I’ve always been part of a partnership. Now I’ve got these big decisions to make alone.”
Lorna has been sporadically active on social media since John’s passing, checking in with her followers to keep them updated on her emotional journey. She shared how one of John’s final gifts to her was leaving heartfelt notes for her to find after his death, offering comfort during such a difficult time.
In one note, Lorna found a humorous message listing the names of people she’s not allowed to date in the future—a lighthearted touch amidst the sorrow.
Opening up about her final moments with John, Lorna admitted, “Watching someone die is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Dying is an effort. The body fights it — it’s not an easy, relaxing, passing-into-sleep thing. Even John’s breathing was a real chore to the very last moment.”
The couple, who had a 21-year age gap, first met in a bar in Brighton when Lorna was 25 and John was 46. They married in New York a year later, and their 16-year marriage was marked by love and mutual respect. Despite their age difference, they always said it was never a factor in their relationship.
Lorna continues to honor John’s memory by wearing his perfume and carries his presence with her as she navigates widowhood in her forties. Recently, she also launched a fundraising fashion event in Manchester to raise awareness and support.
