Jordan Brook Leaves Hospital After Battle with Meningitis, Shares Emotional Thanks to Family and NHS Staff
Jordan Brook has finally been discharged from the hospital after an intense 22-day battle with viral meningitis. The reality TV star, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Sophie Kasaei, was given the green light to return to his Essex home, much to the relief of his loved ones and supporters.
After three weeks of constant care at Basildon University Hospital, Jordan shared a moving video on social media, where he excitedly announced, “Daddy’s coming home,” while holding his hand over Sophie’s pregnant belly. The emotional moment was followed by heartfelt thank-yous to the doctors and nurses who had tirelessly supported him during his hospital stay.
In the video, Jordan could be seen packing his belongings, visibly emotional but in much better health than before. He expressed his gratitude to those who helped him recover, acknowledging the care and warmth from the NHS staff that had helped him through his toughest days.
A Difficult Road to Recovery
Jordan opened up about his experience in a lengthy social media post, revealing the severity of his condition. He described the illness as “the top 1% of the worst cases of viral meningitis and encephalitis” his doctor had ever seen, detailing the swelling and inflammation in his brain, as well as the acute memory loss he’s now dealing with.
“My memory is broken from my first admission,” he said. “The only memories I have are the ones I’d like to forget forever.”
Despite the difficult past weeks, Jordan emphasized that he is choosing not to dwell on the painful memories and expressed determination to move forward with the support of his loved ones.
Gratitude to Loved Ones and Supporters
Throughout his post, Jordan shared messages of love and gratitude for those who stood by him during his recovery. He thanked Sophie for being his rock, saying, “You and my baby boy have held me up and kept me in this fight like you wouldn’t believe. You are my whole life and I love you unconditionally.”
Jordan also took time to honor his father, mum, and grandad for their unwavering support during the challenging days in the hospital. He credited his father as his superhero and inspiration, stating, “If I can be half the dad you are to my boy, I will be the proudest man alive.”
He also shared his deep appreciation for the NHS staff, particularly the team at Lister Ward in Basildon Hospital. “Thank you for saving my life,” he wrote. “You are a credit to the NHS, to humanity, and are amazing, kind, and extremely hardworking people.”
