The couple met in 2023, and just a year later, Maureen spontaneously proposed to David, 20 years after the death of her first husband, and three years after David’s wife passed away. Maureen gushed, saying, “I wanted to be with him 24/7.” When she moved into David’s home, she described it as feeling like she was “coming home.” Despite their age, she expressed how rare and precious their bond is, saying, “I wish anyone at my age could find this level of happiness.”

David, who had spent years caring for his late wife Frances as she battled Alzheimer’s, explained that his experience of loss had made him hesitant to seek love again. However, after spending more time with Maureen, he realized that he wanted to care for her, too.
