Jamie Oliver’s Italian Restaurant in Dundrum Closes After 14 Years of Success
The Dublin restaurant scene has taken another hit as Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant in Dundrum Town Centre has closed its doors after 14 years of service. The celebrity chef’s first Irish venture, which opened in 2012, had been a fan favorite, offering Italian-inspired cuisine to the people of Dublin.
Dundrum Town Centre confirmed the closure to EVOKE on Saturday, revealing that the restaurant shut down “about two days ago.” The timing came as a surprise to many, especially since the restaurant had posted invitations for patrons to join in celebrations on Saint Patrick’s Day just days before.
The closure appears to be linked to the expiration of the restaurant’s lease, with a source confirming to The Business Post, “After 14 successful years, the lease on Jamie’s Italian Dundrum has come to an end, and the restaurant has closed.”

Despite this, the celebrity chef’s empire isn’t entirely fading away. Jamie’s Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver in Dublin’s city centre remains operational.
This closure marks another chapter in the troubled history of Jamie Oliver’s restaurant chain, which saw the closure of 22 of its UK locations in 2019. However, the chef recently relaunched his Leicester Square restaurant in London after it entered administration seven years ago.
Fans of Jamie’s Italian in Dundrum will surely miss the iconic spot, but the chef’s influence on the culinary scene continues.
