The challenge began with Greg cycling through the Scottish borders, and as the days passed, his fundraising efforts snowballed. Coldplay contributed a generous donation of £100,000, further boosting the final tally.

Speaking about the journey, Greg admitted that the fundraising effort had become bigger than he ever anticipated. “It sort of just snowballed,” he said. “Coldplay donated a hundred grand, and seeing the faces of people at the top of a hill when you don’t have anything left in your legs… it’s amazing.”

Can you imagine what would have happened if he’d fallen off? It would’ve been the end of Comic Relief!”
