Katie Price, 47, has found herself at the center of public scrutiny once again, this time over her weight loss. Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday, Katie was quizzed by Susanna Reid, 55, who admitted that she was “concerned” for the former glamour model’s health due to her “very, very skinny” appearance. 😳 Fans have been worried after Katie’s recent photos, where she appeared gaunt, leading some to speculate that she may be using weight loss medication like Ozempic.
Katie, however, insisted she was “healthy,” revealing that she had sought medical advice and undergone numerous tests to understand the cause of her weight loss. “I know I look gaunt, I look like I’m ill – hence why I’m going to the doctors tomorrow,” she said. She further explained that her doctors had confirmed she wasn’t using Ozempic, with blood tests revealing that she was low in iron and was also experiencing premenopause. “I’ve lost weight. I recognise I look too skinny, but I’m going through premenopause at the moment as well,” she added. 🩺
Katie then reassured her fans, saying, “I’m healthy, so nobody worry about me.” Still, Susanna pressed, asking if she was truly okay. “You are healthy, and you are happy?” Susanna asked. To which Katie responded with a definitive “Yes, very happy.”
The weight loss concerns are just the tip of the iceberg in Katie’s whirlwind life. She also opened up about her recent marriage to businessman Lee Andrews, which has raised eyebrows among fans and family alike. Katie tied the knot with Lee at the One&Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai in January, and while many have expressed skepticism over their whirlwind romance, Katie has defended her decision.
Susanna, speaking from a friend’s perspective, admitted that she would be “concerned” if Katie had married someone she had only known for a short time. “I’m not sure you’ve had time to get to know the person to whom you are now married, so why the whirlwind?” Susanna asked. But Katie hit back, saying, “Do you ever really know anyone? If you look at my past marriages, did I ever know they would be what they would be? Sometimes I don’t think you can ever know who anyone is…”
Katie went on to explain how her past relationships were often filled with “toxic, coercive, controlling, mental abuse, physical abuse,” and how she’s now older and wiser, able to recognize red flags. “I now know the signs of red flags and all of this, I am older, I can make my own decisions, and there’s nothing to say that you have to wait for anything,” she said.
For Katie, this marriage feels different. “With Lee, it’s so different to every other relationship, and it works for me,” she shared. And while some have questioned Lee’s credentials, Katie has come to his defense. Lee has been accused of being a “scammer” after claiming he was a millionaire businessman with a PhD from Cambridge University. However, Cambridge University could not find any record of Lee attending. Katie, however, insists that Lee does indeed have a PhD, though not from Cambridge. “He doesn’t have a PhD from Cambridge, it’s one in Spain,” she clarified, adding that she had seen the proof herself. “I’ve seen everything I need to see, on his diplomatic passport, it’s Doctor Lee Andrews.” 💼
Katie also revealed that her children have not yet met Lee, but they have spoken with him on FaceTime. “I want to get to know him more myself,” Katie explained, adding that while she hasn’t introduced Lee to her kids yet, she’s in no rush. “For me to introduce him to the kids, I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet, because I want to get to know him more myself,” she said.
Katie’s appearance on Good Morning Britain gave fans a deeper look into her life and the decisions she’s making for her happiness. Despite the controversy surrounding her weight, her marriage, and Lee’s credentials, Katie seems determined to live her life on her own terms, confident that this relationship is what’s right for her.
“Why not get married?” Katie concluded. “It just felt right.” ❤️
