Coronation Street star Rob Mallard has reportedly split from his boyfriend and former co-star Matthew Martin after nearly four years together.
The actor, best known for playing Daniel Osborne on the ITV soap, is said to have ended his romance with Matthew a few weeks ago.
Fans began speculating about the couple’s relationship after noticing they had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Rob also appears to have removed photos of Matthew from his social media accounts.
The pair first went public with their romance at the British Soap Awards in 2023. Matthew later made a brief appearance on Coronation Street as a police officer, while also featuring in several of Rob’s online posts during their relationship.
Despite the reported split, insiders claim the pair are hoping to stay on friendly terms.
Rob previously dated another Coronation Street co-star, Daniel Brocklebank, in 2017, though that romance ended shortly after going public.
The news comes as another Corrie favourite, Alan Halsall, has also reportedly split from his girlfriend Ellie Dolan. Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, has since been focusing on family life and spending time with his daughter Sienna.
While fans may be saddened by the news, many are hoping Rob and Matthew can move forward peacefully after their years together.
