Linda Robson has shared a warm update on her close friend and former Birds of a Feather co-star Pauline Quirke, saying the actress is “doing really well” amid her dementia diagnosis.
Pauline, 66, stepped away from acting after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2021. She is best known for playing Sharon Theodopolopodous in the hit sitcom Birds of a Feather, alongside Linda and Lesley Joseph.
Speaking about her longtime friend, Linda said she plans to visit Pauline soon, adding that Pauline had recently been taken away on a trip and was being supported by those closest to her.
The update comes after Linda faced her own serious health scare. The Loose Women star revealed she had spent nearly two weeks in intensive care following surgery linked to pancreatic tumours caused by gallstones.
Now recovering, Linda said she is looking forward to returning to work and has been discussing possible new TV projects with Lesley Joseph.
While fans have long hoped for another Birds of a Feather reunion, Linda has previously said this is unlikely because of Pauline’s condition.
Still, her latest words have brought comfort to fans, showing that Pauline remains surrounded by love, care and lasting friendship.
