💔 Jess Wright has shared an emotional update after her four-year-old son Presley was rushed to hospital by ambulance following a terrifying accident at a birthday party.
The former TOWIE star revealed that Presley, whom she shares with husband William Lee-Kemp, was “catapulted” off a bouncy castle in what she described as a freak accident.
Jess said her little boy fell from around three metres high and landed face down on a hard wooden floor, leaving him struggling to breathe before briefly passing out in her and William’s arms.
The frightening incident happened at a children’s birthday party on Saturday, and Jess later described it as the “scariest day” of her life.
🕯️ Taking to Instagram, Jess shared a heartbreaking photo of Presley strapped to an ambulance stretcher while holding her hand.
She wrote that the love she feels for her son “physically hurts” and explained that he had been especially clingy since the accident.
Jess said the sound of Presley hitting the floor silenced the entire party and is something she believes will haunt her.
“My baby was struggling to breathe and then passed out in our arms,” she shared.
Although she said it may only have lasted around five seconds, Jess admitted it felt like much longer in the moment.
🚑 Presley was taken by ambulance to a London trauma unit.
Jess explained that during the journey, she and William were forced to listen as doctors and paramedics discussed the possibility of broken ribs, spinal injuries and other serious outcomes.
For any parent, that would have been unbearable.
But for Jess and William, the fear was even greater because Presley has a rare congenital heart condition.
Jess said she and her husband are already extremely anxious about their son’s safety because of his health history, making the accident even more traumatic.
🙏 Thankfully, Presley was later discharged with no serious injuries.
Jess said that by the time they arrived at hospital, the shock had started to ease slightly and pain relief had begun to work.
After several hours of checks, doctors allowed Presley to go home.
He was left with bruises, soreness and two deeply shaken parents — but Jess described the outcome as a “lucky escape.”
She said she has thanked God every day that her son is okay.
❤️ Jess also thanked everyone who helped during the frightening ordeal.
She praised the families at the birthday party who supported them in the immediate aftermath of the accident.
She also gave special thanks to the NHS ambulance team and the doctors at Royal London Hospital, saying they helped Presley when he was in a truly horrendous state.
In another update, Jess shared that five hours later, Presley was playing games again.
She said she was deeply grateful for his recovery.
⚠️ The accident has left Jess reflecting on bouncy castle safety.
She stressed that it was a freak accident and something that could not have been predicted.
However, she said she would be more cautious in the future if a bouncy castle was placed on a wooden floor rather than mats or grass.
Jess made clear she was not blaming anyone, describing it as a simple accident that could have happened at any time.
But the emotional impact of seeing Presley hurt so badly has clearly shaken her.
🌟 Presley’s accident comes after a difficult period for the family following his heart diagnosis.
Jess revealed in 2024 that her son had been diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve, a rare congenital heart condition where the aortic valve has two leaflets instead of the usual three.
At the time, Jess said the news had physically hurt her soul.
She also shared that Presley may need open-heart surgery at least twice during his life.
The diagnosis came after what was expected to be a routine appointment when doctors detected a heart murmur and sent him for further tests.
💙 Earlier this year, Jess revealed that Presley had received encouraging news from doctors.
Speaking on her podcast alongside her mother Carol Wright and sister Natalya Wright, Jess broke down as she explained that doctors had seen a rare improvement in his condition.
She said the doctor told them that Presley’s condition had reduced, something she described as extremely rare.
“He’s doing really, really well,” Jess said.
The update was a huge relief for the family after months of agonising check-ups and uncertainty.
🕊️ But Jess admitted the emotional strain remains constant.
She said the family lives from appointment to appointment, trying to stay strong while waiting to hear whether the news will be good or devastating.
“You hold it together for these checks,” she explained.
She added that waiting every few months to find out whether Presley’s heart is stable is incredibly difficult.
Despite the positive update, Jess said the family still has to hope and pray that his heart remains where it is.
For now, Presley is active, energetic and full of life.
Carol even joked that she could imagine him running a marathon one day because he never stops moving.
👨👩👦 Jess and William welcomed Presley in 2022.
The couple met in 2019, married in Majorca in 2021 and have since shared parts of their parenting journey with fans.
Jess previously said it took them months to come to terms with Presley’s diagnosis before speaking publicly.
She wanted to raise awareness and connect with other families going through similar experiences.
Now, after the terrifying birthday party accident, Jess has once again shown the emotional reality of parenting a child with a serious health condition.
💫 For Jess, the relief that Presley is safe is overwhelming.
The day began as a normal children’s party and turned into every parent’s nightmare.
There was panic, fear, an ambulance dash and hours of waiting in hospital.
But the ending brought gratitude.
Presley is home.
He is recovering.
And despite the bruises and trauma, Jess knows the outcome could have been far worse.
After what she called the scariest day of her life, Jess Wright is simply thankful to still be holding her little boy’s hand.
