Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are reportedly heading for a High Court showdown as they continue to work through the financial fallout of their divorce.
The former This Morning couple, both 66, announced the end of their marriage just over two years ago after more than a decade as husband and wife. They married in 2010 after many years together and share a son, Jack, 24.
According to reports, Ruth has launched court action for a financial remedy hearing after the pair failed to reach an agreement over their shared wealth, which is estimated to be around £10 million.
The case is reportedly listed as Ruth Holmes vs Eamonn Holmes, with a pre-trial review expected in the coming months and a full hearing said to be scheduled for November.
While details of the proceedings remain private, the dispute could involve major assets including their six-bedroom Surrey home, which they bought in 2014 for £3.6 million and is believed to have risen in value.
A source previously claimed a court battle was the last thing either of them wanted, but said the pair could not agree on what they believed they were entitled to.
Since the split, Eamonn has moved on with therapist Katie Alexander, while Ruth has remained single and focused on her work, her son and rebuilding her life.
Ruth recently admitted she has had to find her own happiness again, saying life can change suddenly and that time has helped her heal.
The Loose Women star also revealed she turned to therapy after the breakdown of the marriage, describing it as one of the best decisions she made, despite initially finding the sessions overwhelming.
