Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has officially married his longtime partner Louise Gibbons after 12 years together.
The 61-year-old actor, best known for playing Kevin Webster on the hit ITV soap, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at Trafford Register Office in Greater Manchester on Saturday.
The intimate wedding was attended by fewer than 30 guests, including several familiar Coronation Street faces such as Sally Dynevor, Alan Halsall, Sue Devanney and Sally Carman.
Michael looked smart in a neutral three-piece suit, paired with a crisp white shirt, silk tie and matching pocket square. Louise looked elegant in a white wedding dress featuring a fitted bodice, plunging neckline and textured sleeves.
After exchanging vows, the newlyweds were seen beaming as they stepped out to cheers, applause and a shower of confetti from family and friends.
The couple later left in a Mercedes decorated with white ribbons, while guests headed to a private reception at Ashton on Mersey Golf Club.
Michael and Louise first began dating in 2014. Their relationship has faced difficult moments over the years, including a split in 2018, but the pair later reconciled and rebuilt their romance.
Louise has been described as a strong source of support for Michael during some of the toughest chapters of his life.
Michael was previously married to fellow actress Janette Beverley, with whom he shares two children. Their marriage ended after 25 years together.
After years of ups and downs, Michael and Louise’s quiet wedding marks a touching new chapter in a love story that has clearly stood the test of time.
