Jeremy Clarkson Faces Another Setback at Diddly Squat Farm After Battling TB Outbreak

Jeremy Clarkson has shared an update from his Diddly Squat farm after a challenging seven-month battle with bovine tuberculosis (bTB), revealing that the farm is finally TB-free. However, this positive news was quickly followed by a heartbreaking blow.

In his latest column for The Sun, Clarkson confirmed that despite overcoming the TB crisis, the farm has suffered another loss as one of their donkeys was diagnosed with laminitis, a painful and often debilitating condition. Clarkson revealed, “We found out that one of our donkeys has laminitis and must be put down. In farming, it seems you are allowed one bit of good news, but it must always be accompanied by some kind of disaster.”

The farm’s struggles with bTB began in the summer of 2025, leading to an enforced lockdown of the farm. This has been a massive blow to Clarkson, who has invested significant time and energy into his farm, with his TV career taking a backseat to his farming aspirations. Thankfully, the farm is now officially TB-free, bringing some relief to Clarkson after months of uncertainty.

Amidst the setbacks, Clarkson had introduced a new member to the farm in early March—a donkey named Ben. His fans quickly expressed concerns about Ben’s well-being, worried that the lone donkey might need companionship. Clarkson responded to the concerns, acknowledging the need for animals to be part of a group but clarified that the farm was aware of the animals’ needs.

While Jeremy Clarkson remains optimistic, his journey at Diddly Squat farm is far from easy, as ongoing weather challenges continue to delay filming for his popular TV series, Clarkson’s Farm. Clarkson has also warned that the upcoming year may not see much profit from his farm, further adding to his stress. Despite the hardships, Clarkson’s resilience shines through, with his farm continuing to serve as both a passion project and an ongoing adventure.
