Jeremy Clarkson Opens Up on Health Scare and Prepares for Clarkson’s Farm Season Five
Jeremy Clarkson has reassured fans about his health following a serious cardiac incident and shared insights into his physical transformation ahead of returning to television. The 66-year-old television presenter revealed that in October 2024, he was rushed to hospital with a heart condition and informed that his life could have been in imminent danger.
Speaking on Heart Breakfast, Clarkson discussed the ordeal, including the cardiac procedure in which a stent was inserted to clear a blocked artery. He also touched on the upcoming fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime, giving viewers a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes challenges he faced.

Reflecting on his experience, Clarkson quipped about the physical changes he underwent, noting he appeared “like a Lowry painting” — thin and elongated, resembling the dark, stick-like figures depicted by the artist. Despite the scare, Clarkson confirmed he is now fully recovered: “I’m fine, thank you very much. Last year was tough, but I’m completely well now. Very good!”
Clarkson also candidly described the unexpected rigours of running his farm, which he initially assumed would be straightforward. “I thought it would be easy — drive the Range Rover, moan about the weather, maybe ski in February. But you realise it’s incredibly hard,” he admitted, highlighting the daily challenges of managing the farm without a film crew.

He reflected on the pressures faced by modern farmers, from unpredictable weather to reduced subsidies, and even tending to wildlife. “These farmers have to cope with everything, worrying about the weather, crop failures, feeding the birds instead of humans — it’s tough,” Clarkson said.
Earlier, Clarkson had also discussed his experiences with Ozempic for weight management in a Sunday Times column, describing the challenges of appetite control and weight fluctuations during the past two years. Despite setbacks, he remains focused on his work and is set to return for a new season of Clarkson’s Farm, premiering 3 June, promising an exciting and dramatic series for viewers.
