Pixie Lott Opens Up on Motherhood, Marriage, and Balancing Life With Two Young Sons

When Pixie Lott imagined life as a mum, she expected it would bring her closer to husband Oliver Cheshire. While the couple, married in 2022, has grown stronger, the chart-topping singer admits life with two little boys has introduced unexpected challenges.A group of adults and children with musical instruments, including a child in a wheelchair, posing for a photo.Pixie Lott sitting on a speaker while holding a microphone.

With sons Bertie, two, and a newborn — whose name remains private — Pixie, 35, describes life as a “big juggle.” Date nights with Oliver, 37, have slipped down the priority list amid tantrums, sleepless nights, and the daily chaos of parenting. “Life gets so chaotic. I try my hardest to tick all these boxes and it’s hard to get the perfect balance,” she says.Pixie Lott singing into a microphone with a guitarist in the background.

Despite the demands, Pixie celebrates family life and hopes to expand their brood. “I just love family and I want to carry on this journey. I’d love more if possible,” she says. The singer emphasizes she simply wants “happy babies,” regardless of gender, and is committed to raising kind, grounded sons in an era of toxic online influences.Pixie Lott smiling while singing into a microphone, lit by orange stage lights.

Moments of joy punctuate the chaos. Pixie recalls the emotional introduction between her sons: “At the start Bert was a bit like, ‘What? Is this baby here to stay?’ But now he cuddles and kisses his brother every day.” She cherishes seeing them grow together, even amidst the inevitable bumps, scrapes, and energetic play-fighting of toddlerhood.Pixie Lott and Oliver Cheshire posing for a photo.Pixie Lott holding a baby on a beach.

Pixie continues to thrive professionally while balancing motherhood. Recently releasing the single Good Wife, she remains active in music, acting, and television. She previously appeared on The Voice Kids UK and Strictly Come Dancing, sharing her expertise and passion for performance.

Alongside her career, Pixie has partnered with McDonald’s to support Ronald McDonald House UK, a charity close to her heart. Inspired by her brother Stephen’s childhood battle with Perthes disease, she recorded a reimagined version of I’m Gonna Be (79 Miles) to highlight the lengths families travel to be by their sick or injured child’s bedside. “It felt like the perfect song to talk about distance, families, and love,” she says.

Through the challenges of parenting, career, and charity work, Pixie Lott’s story is one of love, resilience, and determination — showing that life as a mum can be messy, but also deeply rewarding.
