Tess Daly, 57, former Strictly Come Dancing host, has shared a series of stunning Instagram snaps this week — still wearing her wedding ring — days after announcing her separation from husband Vernon Kay, 52.
In the images, Tess stuns in a chic black top and matching flared trousers, her blonde waves and glamorous makeup perfectly on point. She captioned the post: “The glam before the go”, tagging her hair and makeup team. Despite their split, Vernon pressed like on the photos, proving the pair remain on good terms.
Last Friday, Tess and Vernon broke the news of their amicable separation in a joint statement:
“After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect, we have decided to separate amicably. We remain great friends and fully committed to our roles as loving parents to Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16.”
The couple married in 2003 after meeting at a BBC Christmas party in 2001. Vernon proposed on Christmas Day 2002 at Tess’s parents’ home, and they tied the knot the following September at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Horwich, near Bolton. Tess wore a sleek strapless wedding dress by Marina Adanou, paired with sparkling Jimmy Choo heels.
Over their 25 years together, Tess and Vernon became one of TV’s most beloved duos, hosting Just The Two Of Us (2006–2007) and The One Show as recently as February this year. Their separation marks the end of a chapter, yet both continue to show respect, care, and friendship as they navigate this transition.
