Jesy couldn’t hide her joy as she watched Ocean, who cheekily spat out her fruit purée. “Excuse me, you’re supposed to eat it, not spit it out!” Jesy playfully scolded. Reflecting on the bittersweet journey, Jesy shared how receiving the specialized chairs earlier this year reminded her of the obstacles they face. “It just made me feel so sad as it’s just another reminder of another obstacle we have to tackle,” she said tearfully. Her twins were diagnosed with SMA1 back in January.

Since the SMA diagnosis, Jesy has become an outspoken advocate for SMA1 newborn screening across the UK. While progress has been made, Jesy expressed her frustration that the tests are only available in some parts of England, calling it a “postcode lottery” for families. With a growing petition already gathering 100,000 signatures, Jesy remains steadfast in her mission to ensure every baby has access to life-saving tests.

Despite the emotional journey, Jesy’s strength and determination shine through, as she continues to find inspiration in her daughters and the incredible support from her fans.
