George and Amal Clooney Celebrate His 65th Birthday in St. Tropez with PDA-Filled Getaway
George and Amal Clooney couldn’t have looked more in love during their sun-soaked trip to St. Tropez, where they celebrated George’s milestone 65th birthday on Thursday. The couple, who seemed like lovestruck teenagers, shared intimate moments as they laughed, held hands, and strolled around the picturesque town after a leisurely lunch at Club 55—a chic, exclusive beach club offering stunning sea views.
A Romantic Day Full of Love and Laughter
Their romantic getaway included a boat ride from their yacht to the shore, where the couple was seen glued to each other’s side. George, dressed in a stylish black polo shirt, beige trousers, and tan loafers, looked every bit the laid-back celebrity. Amal, radiant as ever, sported an embellished multi-colored top and matching skirt, paired with calf-high black boots, adding her own touch of sophisticated style.
Their bond was clear as Amal slipped her arm through George’s while navigating the dock, and they couldn’t help but steal moments of affection along the way. The couple often visits St. Tropez, one of their favorite spots, to unwind and soak up the sun.
George Reflects on Life and Family
During his birthday celebrations, George took time to reflect on his career and personal life. Speaking with Page Six, he expressed how his focus has shifted toward philanthropy, particularly through the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which he co-founded with Amal. “I’m spending more time working on the foundation and doing things I find more fulfilling,” he shared.
While George is known for his career in Hollywood, he admitted that he’s now less concerned with chasing roles. “If you get a good part, you take it,” he said with his trademark humor. “But I’m at a point in life where I don’t care about petty arguments anymore, and I don’t feel the need to be right. Amal and I have never had a real fight. We just have a really amazing relationship.”
A New Chapter for the Clooney Family
The Clooneys, who are parents to twins Ella and Alexander, have recently relocated from Los Angeles and now live part-time in an 18th-century villa in southern France. Despite the move to a more serene life, George noted the change in their travel habits since becoming parents. “We had to stop going to dangerous places. We made decisions not to do that once we had kids,” he said, reflecting on their past adventures in war zones like Darfur and Beirut.
With their new life in southern France, George and Amal are focusing on family and their passions, making sure their children grow up in a peaceful environment, while continuing to support causes that matter most to them.
