Christine McGuinness Opens Up About Dating, Desire and Life After Divorce
Christine McGuinness has spoken candidly about rediscovering herself following her split from Paddy McGuinness, discussing dating, intimacy and her hopes for a future relationship with a woman.
Christine McGuinness has given one of her most open interviews yet, reflecting on her personal life since separating from comedian Paddy McGuinness in 2022.
The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star, who shares three children with Paddy, spoke on the It Started With A Kiss podcast about navigating life after divorce, exploring new relationships and learning more about her own identity.

During the conversation, Christine said she has become more comfortable discussing her sexuality and admitted that dating women has helped her better understand herself. She previously said she had found “the real me” after beginning relationships with women.
The television personality also touched on how she manages dating and attraction, saying self-awareness has become an important part of approaching new romantic connections. While her comments were characteristically frank, Christine framed them as part of a broader journey of confidence, independence and emotional growth.

She also discussed her interest in Shibari, the Japanese art of rope binding, describing it less as a purely sexual experience and more as a way of exploring trust, vulnerability and letting go.
Christine said the experience formed part of her process of self-discovery following the breakdown of her marriage. She added that dating women had helped her recognise different sides of herself, including a desire to feel more in control in certain relationships.

The 36-year-old also spoke about her hopes for the future, revealing that she would one day like to have a wife, though not necessarily through a legal marriage. Instead, she said she would prefer a celebration of love and commitment.
However, Christine made clear that she does not want more children. She explained that she tries to be honest about this early on when meeting potential partners, particularly as many of the women she dates do not yet have children of their own.

Christine and Paddy married in 2011 before announcing their separation in 2022. Despite the end of their marriage, the pair continue to co-parent their three children and reportedly still live in the same £5 million family home.

She also suggested that Paddy has been supportive of her personal journey, saying they are able to speak openly and maintain a friendly dynamic. However, Christine noted that most of their conversations remain focused on their children.
Her latest interview offers a more personal insight into a woman rebuilding her life publicly while balancing motherhood, co-parenting and a new sense of self after divorce.
